The six women’s sororities on campus are governed by the Panhellenic Council (PHC), and the three men’s fraternities are governed by the Interfraternity Council (IFC). Elected Council officers meet weekly to discuss current issues, advocate for the community, plan events, etc. Every chapter has delegate representatives who guide the direction of the councils.
The Panhellenic Council is the governing body for our six National Panhellenic Conference women’s sororities at Lafayette College. The council strives to serve as a place for crucial conversations affecting our chapters, to educate our members, and to seek opportunities for community engagement.
The purpose of the IFC is to provide and maintain a community environment that fosters unity, representation, communication, and governance amongst the fraternities of Lafayette College.
