Lafayette honored more than 120 students for academic excellence at the annual All-College Honors Convocation April 29 in the Williams Center for the Arts. Awards and prizes recognized outstanding academic success in all four of Lafayette’s academic divisions—engineering, humanities, natural sciences, and social sciences.
The keynote speaker was Berrisford Boothe ’83 Chi Phi Fraternity, associate professor of art at Lehigh University. Boothe received his M.F.A from The Maryland Institute College of Art where he won the Walter’s Museum Travelling Fellowship. A founding member of Lehigh’s integrated Product Design cross-disciplinary curriculum, Boothe has been an established presence in the art scene for over 20 years. He is represented by the June Kelly Gallery, NYC, and his career involves work as a painter, digital artist, printmaker, photographer, installation artist, lecturer, and curator. Read the full story….
