This year, the Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life (OFSL) was given the opportunity to hire our first student assistant. The student assistant would be able to take over the day-to-day operations of the Fraternity & Sorority Life (FSL) social media platforms, assist in front desk administration, and oversee the more routine aspects of the office (event registration, philanthropy record keeping, etc.).

After the completion of interviews, we were thrilled to welcome Clovis-Lato Nkamga as the first FSL Student Assistant. Clovis is a first-year student pursuing his degree in biology.

“When I heard about the position and looked into what it entailed, I found it really intriguingĀ  because I had previous experience with running my school’s college community page, so I thought why not apply? Additionally, I was very interested in Fraternity & Sorority Life and this position gave me the opportunity to interact with a majority of FSL-affiliated members. I’ve been able to gain more insight on how FSL functions at Lafayette by engaging with the community and working in this role.” – Clovis-Lato Nkamga
